The Knowes Hotel & Restaurant - Macduff

The hotel was brilliant with good views and a magnificent location to villages close by. The staff were kind, obliging. I enjoyed the twin room. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and I had a private bathroom. Nothing to complain about, the venue met needs well, do recommend it.

Very friendly and efficient staff, it was really good stay.

Extremely comfy bed, room was brand-new and well-equipped, with iron/ironing board, tea and coffee making equipment, and television. The location was magnificent, to interesting harbour!

The knowes hotel & restaurant has a lovely location and fine views. Our twin room was modern yet cozy, very clean, and had everything we needed. We couldn't resist eating there every night because the food was excellent, especially the risotto and fish and chips!

Good Stay with Fantastic Dining Experience

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The highlight was dining with top-quality meals that were cooked to perfection. Celebrating a birthday here was a treat, with great views across the bay. Just remember to book ahead for the dining experience, as it's quite popular!

The staff were kind and attentive, always ensuring that I had everything I needed. The stairs posed a challenge for managing my luggage. It would be great to have more seating in the room as well. Dining was a highlight. The breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. Unfortunately, the hotel didn't have any Scottish draught beer options available, disappointing.

The European bread was a real highlight alongside the culinary delights of the freshly cooked breakfast! Plus, the beautiful blossoms in the front garden added a lovely touch to our stay.

The hotel's hilltop position made departure a tad dodgy, as there was no grit provided for safe footing. Still, it didn't overshadow the overall charm of the place!
